LIFESTYLE: THE CURRENTLY TAG...#1

Happy new week sweeties... hope your weekend was great? Well mine was good thank God. Finally broke out of my boring old routine and went out! (Phewww it's been a while). On the currently tag i will be sharing with you what i have been upto these past weeks. So currently I am.....

Wearing : a black crop top and a pink midi tulle skirt, both thrifted... I love crop tops but stick to wearing them at home. I feel i shouldn't be caught wearing a crop top up and about in public. But  this feels super comfy and chic.

Reading: "A GAME OF THRONES : A Song of Ice and Fire "by George R.R Martin. I'm addicted! i confess!. If you have read it or seen the movie "Game of Thrones" i'd really love to hear your thoughts (kindly leave a comment please!)

Grateful : for the gift of life, good health, family and friends. And oh! The internet!...Lol

Watching: MTN project fame and a Philippine soap opera with the  title "if only".  I try not to get so attached to any soap (the suspense can be killing) but this one got me breaking rules...

Rocking: my hair in the bantu knot styling. Been getting lots of compliments and i'm literally feeling like an African queen.
Enjoy : making random videos with my brother. We basically talk about anything interesting. And chip in a bit of song too... boy! Y'all should hear me sing Lol

Regretting : Nothing!

Appreciating: everyone who finds time to visit my blog. Much love y'all, much love!! (oya! Chop kiss...muah!!) Lol

Planning on : doing this " currently  i am tag" every month and hope to stay consistent.

Crushing : on real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos... I dunno, but i'm beginning to have a thing for footballers. first it was Theo Walcott and now Ramos. These footballers would be the death of me!

Determined to: stay consistent with my work out routine. Staying home and doing nothing other than eating, sleeping and lounging on the couch and munching on snacks has only caused me to gain weight in a place i really do not need it. I have been exercising every morning for a week now and i'm happy seeing some result.

Inspired by : ifeoma of whowhatfab.wordpress.com her blog is lit and we'll put together. And she she is so real and down to earth that you can't help but like her...

Anticipating: POP...yay! can't wait to ditch this khaki come October. Service year has been fun and interesting but i'm looking forward to bigger and better things.

Uncertain about: what the next four months has in store for me but i believe God has got everything in control.

Praying : that the economy of Nigeria get stable. This hike in the prices of things can be so annoying  buying my foundation and other makeup products for double and sometimes triple the former prices is so not funny.

Listening to : "Drunk" by Zayn malik and "4am" by Melanie Fiona. This songs are currently my favourite songs for months now. I love them crazy! And they are top on my play list. You should download them if you don't have them on your music library, I bet you will love it!

This is all I've been about lately... Thanks for visiting my blog. Have an awesome week ahead sweeties... Till next time. xo.

What have you been up to lately??
Would love to hear from you... do leave a comment

BEAUTY: Benefits of Exfoliating The Skin / DIY Sugar Exfoliating Scrub

Exfoliation of the skin is one skin care routine for face and body that a lot of us unfortunately do neglect or pay little attention to, yet it's one of the most important steps to achieving a healthy  flawless and glowing skin.

What is exfoliation?
Exfoliation simply involves the removal of dead skin cells from the top layer of the skin using exfoliants  or natural scrubs like: exfoliating gloves, honey, sugar, lemon, salt, exfoliating lotion and soap, peeling gel, face mask etc...

Benefit of exfoliation:

1. Evens out skin tone
2. Help skin care products work better
3. Brightens the complexion
4. Gets rid of dead dull skin cells
5. Detoxification of the skin
6. Reduces Blemish and Acne breakout
7. Healthy glowing skin
8. Minimises pores

DIY Sugar Exfoliating Scrub:

What you need:
500g of sugar
30ml of honey
10ml  of coconut oil
30ml of olive oil (extra virgin)
2 tsp of baking  soda ( for lighting skin)
2 tsp of lemon juice

Direction:
Add your sugar in a clean bowl, add honey and all the oil to it and mix very well. You can also add a little colouring of your choice.

It's important to exfoliate at least twice a week as it can greatly improve the health of the skin by shedding off dead skin and revealing a radiant beautiful skin.

WOMAN CRUSH WEDNESDAY- MO'CHEDDAH

25-year-old Nigerian music artiste Modupe- oreoluwa oyeyemi popularly known as Mo'cheddah is a force to reckon with. The creative arts graduate from the university of Lagos took her style from basic to glamorous in the blink of an eye.
She is literally running the fashion world these days, which is one quality that distinguishes her from other female artistes in the Nigerian music industry . With a clothing line, endorsement deals, a great career, pretty face and enviable style we can't help but crown Mo'cheddah our woman crush for this week.

MUSING: Letting Go Of A Friendship

Lately I have been saving lots of Mandy Hale quotes and i'm particularly liking this one because it has helped me clarify some grey areas in my relationship with people. I have reached a decision that there are extent which i can go to make a friendship work or try to 'fix it'.
The truth is that there are people you will meet and like so much that you would always want them to be a part of your life. And when disagreement arise as a result of misunderstanding, you are willing to go out of your way to fix things but unfortunately, it sometimes does not work.
Things begin to feel strange, there are awkward moments and strained conversations between you two, in fact their company or presence is no longer comforting. At this point, the "friendship" takes backward steps and what you now have is "Acquaintanceship". You both are now 'hello and hi', 'how are you?' 'long time no see' buddy!... no more bestie or BFF to share your thoughts and secrets with.

It's at this point that you should really give the situation some serious thought. Just maybe this is where the journey ends for you both. They have played some major role in your life, although not as long as you envisaged but they have got to move on. At some point you have to realise that some people can stay in your heart but not in your life. Think about it, not all your friends from childhood are in your life right now, though you want them to be badly!. So there is no point in trying to extend the friendship like Mandy Hale as rightly put it. Just maybe they were only meant to be for a season. Trust me, those who are meant to be in your life for a lifetime will come along and will always be around against all odds. They will be with you through thick and thin and thick and thick constantly showing you support, Caring for you, and loving you beyond comprehension.
